In the "Workflow profiles" settings, you can create profiles that can be automatically applied to newly ingested media or files.

The profiles are created here and then assigned to categories in the Media and Files sections. When workflow profile is configured for a category you have to make a similarly named folder path under FTP /media folder, e.g. for a category tree Root → Movies → Comedies you will create folders /media/Movies/Comedies to place the respective files and ingest them in a particular category.

There are 2 types of workflow profiles: Media and File.

Media type workflow profiles can be applied to media in the Media section. The profiles have these settings:

  1. Main tab:
    1. Name;
    2. Generate thumbnails for the player; 
    3. Subtitle time offset - subtract the time interval from source subtitle times;
    4. Choose if asset name should be updated from video - when the video file is uploaded after some other files, e.g. audio or subtitles, which do not contain correct media name;
    5. If FTP uploads should replace or append if a duplicate is found - defines the action if a new file with the same name is ingested.

  2. Languages tab:
    1. Set default language (ISO 639-2);
    2. Set language order for the player.

  3. Embed code tab - set default settings for respective parameters of media asset:
    1. Show related media - choose to show random videos from the same category (depending on Availability times and Published status) as related after the video is finished. Shows 6 videos max;
    2. HTTPS/HTTP;
    3. Video player;
    4. Protocol;
    5. Aspect ratio;
    6. Size WxH;
    7. Autoplay;
    8. Auto subtitles;
    9. Start muted;
    10. Start from (sec.);
    11. Random (Starts from a random place in media);
    12. Enable public webpage.

  4. Player functions tab - set default settings for respective parameters of media asset:
    1. Choose to set thumbnail as default Media player poster; 
    2. Add default media player poster; play button and logo;
    3. Add logo redirect URL - URL that will open when the logo is clicked in the player;
    4. Hide different player functions- options, volume button, subtitle button etc.;
    5. Loop video;
    6. Preload content;
    7. Disable pausing playback - disables play button. If you set autoplay - the video will start immediately and without pause option, but if you do not set autoplay, you can press the play button on the video, but you can not stop it;
    8. Custom CSS and video player text translations;
    9. Social sharing buttons. Note that due to new restrictions in browsers, to allow social sharing to work correctly, page URL has to be supplied to embed URL using ref parameter. Please set 'ref' parameter in embed code URL (&ref=<PAGE_URL>)!
    10. Custom titles and URLs to player;
    11. Singular live;
    12. Subtitle looks.

  5. Advertisements tab - set default settings for respective parameters of media asset:
    1. Add VAST URLs for advertisements;
    2. Set mid-roll advertisements as recurring;
    3. Block player on ADS Block Plugin to prevent ad-blocker.

  6. Security tab - set default settings for respective parameters of media asset:
    1. choose to block VPN/proxy users - VPN/proxy detection as an optional check in addition to geographical IP address checking (to activate these features contact your account manager);
    2. enable encryption method: DRM, AES-128 or DRM with AES-128 as fallback (to activate these features contact your account manager);
    3. Use token for playback;
    4. Use token for submanifests and chunks – this option works in conjunction with Use token for playback, improves the protection of the content. May be used only with compatible players; 
    5. Use token for embed to protect the embed code against re-embedding in conjunction with Restrict embed in Domains field.
    6. if the top option is marked, Only use for disallowed countries option will appear. This sets the token enforcement only for geo-blocked countries. Is used to allow content access for registered users outside of allowed regions, e.g. EU;
    7. Token duration;
    8. Restrict embed in domains;
    9. IP blacklist;
    10. IP whitelist;
    11. Playback allowed countries.

  7. Transcoding tab:
    1. Choose transcoding preset;
    2. Clean {\a} formatting codes - this applies to subtitle files;

    3. Choose to re-transcode if the source is updated - text-based, TS (DVB) or ISM subtitles update for transcoded assets without re-transcoding by clicking Media action Update subtitles from the source.
    4. Enable auto transcode - turn on auto transcoding based on criteria.

  8. File transfer tab:
    1. Add file naming patterns - define own file naming patterns from accepted fields if you wish to override the default file naming format, sample pattern [assetID{0,8}]_[name]_[bitrate]_[language{0,3}][channel{1}].[ext], numbers represent acceptable field lengths;

    2. Set tar file options:
      1. by default ignore tar file folders checked;
      2. choose to use manifest file;
      3. add manifest file name. 

    3. Configure file Output (NOT ingest, this is upload FROM the Telia Video cloud) properties, you can choose to do that automatically here or in Media section Action's to Upload to external each separately:
      1. Set title for transfer;
      2. Choose preset pack (transcoded) from which to transfer files;
      3. Choose storage - Upload destinations;
      4. Upload file extension pattern - only extensions listed here will be uploaded, e.g. mp4, ismv, isma, ttml.
      5. Add path and choose to create storage directory.

  9. Availability tab:
    1. Choose videos to be published automatically.
    2. Media availability time - hours (0 is never)
    3. Media expire time - hours (After what time media will expire - not available for playback, 0 is never);
    4. Delete source file after transcoding - hours (0 is never), the following warning will be issued:
    5. Delete transcoded media files after upload - hours (0 is never);
    6. Delete all media files after upload - hours (0 is never);
    7. Delete asset when expired - hours (0 is never).
